How to play Atlas

A country is named, or sometimes only its flag is shown, and a clock starts. Walk and fly across a pixel-art map of the whole world and land on it before time runs out. You score on where you are standing when the clock stops: flying over the right answer is worth nothing, so a last-second dive is a gamble.

A miss still counts for something. Landing on the country is worth 10 points, and a near miss earns up to 6, measured in real kilometres to the nearest bit of the right country. The reveal draws a dotted line from where you stood to where you should have been, and tells you how close you were, from SO CLOSE to STONE COLD.

While the clock runs every other pigeon vanishes in a puff of smoke, so nobody can just follow whoever knows where Malaysia is. Five rounds make a match, and the best three take the podium. You can play the atlas alone too: every answer is scored on its own.
